Visit with Santa

We went to see Santa today. K has been asking for a pink necklace and pink watch since before her birthday. So today I told her she could tell Santa what she wanted for Christmas. Once again she told me she wanted a pink necklace and pink watch ( I only hear it about 6 times a day). So as we were waiting in line K said she was going to tell Santa that she wanted........ a pink watch and pink necklace. She was also going to tell Santa to bring Audrey a purple necklace and purple watch (gee do you think she picked up on the fact the girls have a color?) since she can talk yet.

We were next in line and K was excited to see Santa (well she didn't see him yet) and Audrey was excited too, but she is only 4 months old so she is excited over seeing me at 2am in all my morning ugliness too. Audrey sits on Santas lap and Kayleigh .....................................................................cries. "No Santa!!!" so just Audrey gets her picture taken.
Then as I was spending my GC to Ann Taylor Loft, Kaykay and Daddy were looking at the picture of Audrey and Santa. K kept asking where her picture was. Randy told her that she didn't get one because she didn't sit on Santa's lap. We asked her if she wanted to go get one, but nope, she threw herself on the floor and screamed "NO. NO SANTA. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO." Yup, if you were in the mall today, that was my kid.
We get home and now she keeps saying "Santa bring me, (can you guess?)

Update

Time really does fly. I can't believe it is Thanksgiving.

Let's see...............Kayleigh turned 2 Sept. 13 and had a blast with all her friends.

Kayleigh was a fairy princess for Halloween and now has a boyfriend "Kyle". She loves Kyle and is going to marry him. But she is going to prom with Thomas. Thomas will also be Kyle's best man. Some best man huh?

She was a flower girl in another wedding. She was cute as a button.

Audrey was a flower for Halloween. She is now almost 24 inches and 12.9 pounds. She is a peanut! I guess someone has to be small in this family.

Is it sad that.....

"Oh, I fell down" is something Kayleigh says daily, and more like 10 times a day. What can I say, she has her mother's gracefulness. She starts dance class next week and I'm thinking that is a good thing.

We went to visit my parents this weekend and we had a good time. The car ride up there sucked, but the end result was wonderful.

Daddy pooped!

Last night we all went out for dinner for Randy's birthday. We had a some close friends with us (Kayleigh is going to be their flower girl) and we all had a good time. Randy had the smart idea to give Kayleigh icecream with hot fudge. Hey it was his birthday, I let it go.

When dinner was all done, he got up to use the bathroom. Kayleigh was dancing next to the table singing "Old McDonnie". Then she asked "Where daddy go?" I said he had to use the bathroom. In which she responded, "Daddy pooped?" I said maybe. Then she laughed and screamed "DADDY POOPED, DADDY POOPED" over and over again. At least it made the people next to us laugh.

After 23 Months

Before

Kayleigh finally has enough hair for a hair cut. We went to Kutz 4 Kids today after Kayleigh's nap. I was really worried about her letting them cut her hair. She sat in the little police car and watched Dora as they "cut" her hair. They gave us an envelope with her hair inside it and a little award for us that says we survived her first hair cut. Too cute!

Audrey is growing like a weed and now looks like a newborn instead of a breakable doll. She is 5 weeks old today! In one week she will be taking her very first road trip to visit her Nana and Gunner. 6 hours in the car should be crazy. I hope it goes ok!

Time flies

Audrey is going to be 3 weeks old on Friday. She is a good baby, even if she loves to cry. She had an ultrasound on her hip yesterday and now we are just waiting on the results. Her pedi heard clicking when she did the little leg test, so she wanted to get it checked out. If I don't hear back today, then I'll call her pedi tomorrow.

A table for four, please

It's been four days since we have come home from the hospital. It is finally sinking in that we are a family of 4 now. We even took a trip to the store since we had nothing to eat or drink in the house. As we went past Applebee's, Randy said, "I guess we won't be going out to eat anytime soon" Very true............ Two grown ups, two little girls. We love it.

In about 5 1/2 weeks, I have to go back to work. I hope the school years goes by just as fast as this past one did. I love being home for the summer with my girls. I also love the school breaks and weekends too. I guess it is the best job you can have if you have to work while being a mom. I am home early, I have my weekends free and I have a lot of days off during the school year.

I am looking for matching outfits for the girls. Yes, I am a dork, but I think it would look cute for some pictures. The only problem is right now we have Godzilla and then we have a peanut. Makes it hard to find outfits.

One day soon I hope to wake up in bed next to Randy again. The sofa has become a second bed to me this week. Audrey likes to sleep down stairs so that's where we sleep. Plus we are having thunderstoms and she doesn't like them.

20 month talk with Kayleigh

All of this happened while we were outside playing in her baby pool.

K:Mommy, no, no wawa
Me: Yes, its nice and cool. Try it, you will like it.
K:Wawa?
Me:Yes, water...(sticking my feet in) oh it feels nice.
K:Ok, wawa. HAHA mommy, wawa. Why wawa?
Me: Because it is hot and we need to cool off.
K:Yest. Hot. (gets in pool)
Me: Are you having fun?
K:Yest mommy, wawa is fun. Mommy sit here (pointing in the pool)
Me: No, I can't
K: Why?
Me: Because I am too big for the pool.
K:Why?
Me: Because I am a grown up and the pool is for babies like you.
K:Ok. Sit (pointing to a chair) here and feet wawa (she wanted me to put my feet in)
Me: Ahh it feels so nice.

Sesame Place

We had a great time at Sesame Place. The whole ride to the park we heard "Mommy! Mommy! Elmo!" Boy did that hour go by fast:) We didn't go on many rides because K was tired and cranky, but we saw Elmo's World Live and watched the parade. She rode on the merry go round and saw Elmo and her new Fave Zoe!

Last Saturday

It was beautiful

Erik got married last Saturday. Everything was beautiful. The day was perfect and so was the weather. Heather looked beautiful and my big brother was the happiest I have ever seen him. Kayleigh would not walk down so Randy had to carry her. It was still cute though. They went to HI for their honeymoon. Jerks.

Feeling better today

On Friday, I started to feel dizzy around 11:30. I thought it was because I was trying to be really good about not eating sugary things because I getting the GD test done in the morning. Last time(with Kayleigh) I failed by 3 points and I didn't want to fail this time around. So at lunch I ate two chocolate covered Oreo's along with my turkey and cheese sandwich. I was still dizzy when I had to pick up my afternoon kids. I thought it was getting better, but it wasn't. I called the school nurse and she came and took me to her office. My blood pressure was 100/?. She couldn't get the bottom number because I threw up all over the floor. She was concerned because it was really low. She sent me home. I called my OB and she put me on bed rest for the day and told me to call back if it got worse or I was still dizzy on Saturday.

I felt better on Saturday, but still took it easy. I got the GD test done and we ran a few earrands and then spent the night at home. We ordered the little beans crib and Randy said he didn't like the bedding we had picked out anymore. So now we are back on square one. We can't find anything we like:(

On a good note, I'm 29+ weeks and I've only gained 3-5 pounds. I am feeling good;) I go back to the dr on May 12. Then after that it's my brother's wedding! I can't wait!

Finally updating

It's been awhile, so here is an update on us. Kayleigh has become a big time brat. Telling us "NO" all the time and laughing about it. She has been in time out more times than I can count. I hope this stage end quickly. I might move out if it doesn't.

A pot of ham?

So yesterday on our way out to the playground one of the little girls in my class said "Mrs. N, your jacket is getting small." I wasn't planning on telling them yet because they are only 4, but I thought it would be a good time. I asked her and the class if they knew why my jacket was getting small. I got some good answers. "you're getting fat" " you're eating too much" "you are growing" I then told them I had something in my belly and did they know what. One little boy opened his eyes real big and yelled "It's a pot of ham!!" Too cute. I told them I was having a baby and they were happy.
One boy asked if he could have a baby too and I said "nope, just the mommies" then he asked what did the daddies do and I said "they give support" I'm sure I'll have tons of messages on my phone come Monday morning.

We made a new registry for our new bundle of joy. I guess its a big "no-no" but its not like we are going around telling people we have one. It's there if people want it. Mostly for our parents so I don't have to answer their 1 million questions a day. Plus we will get a 10% coupon for anything we buy off of it. That's good right?

The bully

Yesterday she pushed a little boy into his cubby and today she pinched a boy in the face because she wanted his chair. What am I going to do with her?

56 days left

Until summer!!!! Yay! Then I get to be a SAHM again. I can't wait.

Today was a good day. The kids were calm and willing to do their work. I even got an "ok" from my little boy that always says "NO". The weather was nice and we got to play on the playground. I hope the weather keeps up this week.

So no one has looked at our house yet. This stinks. I hope we get a call soon, I want my bigger house!!!

Dr. Appointment today

My appointment was for 9:30am. I finally saw the stupid dr at 11:05. When he walked in and asked how are you today, I said "upset" he said "it's not my fault that I'm late, its the people who make the appointments. I can't be in two places at once. I'm not going to say sorry" Whatever jackass, its a good thing you are only filling in until the other dr has her baby and returns. And I see the HBIC next time. I love her.
The good news is that I'm up 1 pound and baby's heartbeat is going strong at 158bpm.

This weekend we took KayKay to see Sesame Street Live. She loved it. I really should start with Friday though. Friday KayKay got tubes. She did very well and I swear she is talking more already. By the time came home on Friday, our guest had arrived. We hosted Easter. My MIL, SFIL, BIL, SIL, Alec and Damian came to visit.

Saturday we all went to Sesame Street Live. The kids loved it. It was a very cute show. K at one point screamed out "ELMO" and pointed right to him. So cute. After the show we came home and had an egg hunt. We ate too much and went to bed.

Sunday was a relaxing day. Not looking forward to returning to work. I need just one more day to recover!!!!

So I started a Blog

Am I really that cool to do this? I hope so. When I was teaching in Camden, one of my students lived on Princess Street. How cool is that? I should totally live on Princess Street. After all I am a princess or that's what I like to think anyway.
Kayleigh turned 18 months this past Thursday. She is 34 inches and 28 pounds. At this rate, she is going to be taller than me by 3rd grade.
I love (eyes rolling) this new stage Kayleigh is going through. Can we say DRAMA QUEEN? I hope this stage goes by quickly.
We put our house on the market this week. Today we found a house we love. Hopefully our house will get some calls soon.
