Visit with Santa

We went to see Santa today. K has been asking for a pink necklace and pink watch since before her birthday. So today I told her she could tell Santa what she wanted for Christmas. Once again she told me she wanted a pink necklace and pink watch ( I only hear it about 6 times a day). So as we were waiting in line K said she was going to tell Santa that she wanted........ a pink watch and pink necklace. She was also going to tell Santa to bring Audrey a purple necklace and purple watch (gee do you think she picked up on the fact the girls have a color?) since she can talk yet.

We were next in line and K was excited to see Santa (well she didn't see him yet) and Audrey was excited too, but she is only 4 months old so she is excited over seeing me at 2am in all my morning ugliness too. Audrey sits on Santas lap and Kayleigh .....................................................................cries. "No Santa!!!" so just Audrey gets her picture taken.
Then as I was spending my GC to Ann Taylor Loft, Kaykay and Daddy were looking at the picture of Audrey and Santa. K kept asking where her picture was. Randy told her that she didn't get one because she didn't sit on Santa's lap. We asked her if she wanted to go get one, but nope, she threw herself on the floor and screamed "NO. NO SANTA. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO." Yup, if you were in the mall today, that was my kid.
We get home and now she keeps saying "Santa bring me, (can you guess?)

Update

Time really does fly. I can't believe it is Thanksgiving.

Let's see...............Kayleigh turned 2 Sept. 13 and had a blast with all her friends.

Kayleigh was a fairy princess for Halloween and now has a boyfriend "Kyle". She loves Kyle and is going to marry him. But she is going to prom with Thomas. Thomas will also be Kyle's best man. Some best man huh?

She was a flower girl in another wedding. She was cute as a button.

Audrey was a flower for Halloween. She is now almost 24 inches and 12.9 pounds. She is a peanut! I guess someone has to be small in this family.

Is it sad that.....

"Oh, I fell down" is something Kayleigh says daily, and more like 10 times a day. What can I say, she has her mother's gracefulness. She starts dance class next week and I'm thinking that is a good thing.

We went to visit my parents this weekend and we had a good time. The car ride up there sucked, but the end result was wonderful.

Daddy pooped!

Last night we all went out for dinner for Randy's birthday. We had a some close friends with us (Kayleigh is going to be their flower girl) and we all had a good time. Randy had the smart idea to give Kayleigh icecream with hot fudge. Hey it was his birthday, I let it go.

When dinner was all done, he got up to use the bathroom. Kayleigh was dancing next to the table singing "Old McDonnie". Then she asked "Where daddy go?" I said he had to use the bathroom. In which she responded, "Daddy pooped?" I said maybe. Then she laughed and screamed "DADDY POOPED, DADDY POOPED" over and over again. At least it made the people next to us laugh.

After 23 Months

Before

Kayleigh finally has enough hair for a hair cut. We went to Kutz 4 Kids today after Kayleigh's nap. I was really worried about her letting them cut her hair. She sat in the little police car and watched Dora as they "cut" her hair. They gave us an envelope with her hair inside it and a little award for us that says we survived her first hair cut. Too cute!

Audrey is growing like a weed and now looks like a newborn instead of a breakable doll. She is 5 weeks old today! In one week she will be taking her very first road trip to visit her Nana and Gunner. 6 hours in the car should be crazy. I hope it goes ok!

Time flies

Audrey is going to be 3 weeks old on Friday. She is a good baby, even if she loves to cry. She had an ultrasound on her hip yesterday and now we are just waiting on the results. Her pedi heard clicking when she did the little leg test, so she wanted to get it checked out. If I don't hear back today, then I'll call her pedi tomorrow.

A table for four, please

It's been four days since we have come home from the hospital. It is finally sinking in that we are a family of 4 now. We even took a trip to the store since we had nothing to eat or drink in the house. As we went past Applebee's, Randy said, "I guess we won't be going out to eat anytime soon" Very true............ Two grown ups, two little girls. We love it.

In about 5 1/2 weeks, I have to go back to work. I hope the school years goes by just as fast as this past one did. I love being home for the summer with my girls. I also love the school breaks and weekends too. I guess it is the best job you can have if you have to work while being a mom. I am home early, I have my weekends free and I have a lot of days off during the school year.

I am looking for matching outfits for the girls. Yes, I am a dork, but I think it would look cute for some pictures. The only problem is right now we have Godzilla and then we have a peanut. Makes it hard to find outfits.

One day soon I hope to wake up in bed next to Randy again. The sofa has become a second bed to me this week. Audrey likes to sleep down stairs so that's where we sleep. Plus we are having thunderstoms and she doesn't like them.
